Chauncenia Jackson
Chauncenia Jackson has educated children for 12 years with Jackson Public Schools. She has taught 1st grade through 4th grade during her tenure with JPS. She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Jackson State University. She is also an Ask 4 More Arts teacher.
Where she integrates the arts into classrooms creating hands-on, highly engaging work for students. She gives students the opportunity of learning through the arts. She is currently the co-owner of Faithful Explorers Preparatory School, A preschool dedicated to literacy. She is a native of Jones County. She is married to Pastor Charles Jackson Jr. (Pleasant Green M.B. Church, Hermanville MS) and has two wonderful children Bettina Dixon and Charles Jackson III. She has a passion for children, a passion for literacy, a passion for building up our community but most iportantly she has a passion for doing GOD’s will.
Tarica Hall
Tarica Monique Hall was raised from a single parent home, where strong religious beliefs and a solid educational foundation was the primary focus of her childrearing years. Tarica started her educational journey at the age of three, where she attended Martin Head- start, Pecan Park Elementary School, Hardy Middle School, and graduated from the top twenty of her class from Provine High School in 1999. While at Provine, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Technology Student Association, Soul of Provine Choir, and the Symphony Orchestra.
Tarica began to explore one of her many God given talents after graduating from high school. She always knew in her heart that she had a true calling on her life to minister to children. She decided to attend Hinds Community College in the fall of 1999, where she majored in Early Childhood Education. While attending Hinds, she received honors and accolades such as President’s List and Dean’s List. After graduating from Hinds in 2002, she wanted to pursue her education even further and enrolled at Jackson State University in the fall of 2003. She wanted to be diverse in her course of study, so she majored in Elementary Education. Although she worked three jobs, she believed that God wanted her to continue to prepare for her true calling in life. While at Jackson State, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and was on the Dean’s List for two consecutive years. During her senior year at Jackson State, she became the proud mother of Raygaen Jewe’l Hall. Raygaen was the most precious gift that gave her the strength and motivation to finish her degree in 2007. After graduating from Jackson State, God began to speak to her and she was following her savior’s command to go back to school to receive her Master’s Degree.
Even though she was a classroom teacher and mother, she still had to adhere to God’s plan for her life and she enrolled into the Master of Education Program at Jackson State University, in the spring of 2009. She would also major in Elementary Education. While attending graduate school, she used the skills that she had learned and incorporated them into her classroom lessons. She has truly reaped the benefits because; she has been successful in overall student achievement on the state test in four out of the five years she has taught fourth grade. Tarica graduated from Jackson State University in the spring of 2012 and has gained a great love for her students as well as being a student. She loves to nurture and see them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She continued to follow God’s plan and decided to enroll into the Specialist Program of Education Leadership at Mississippi College, in the fall of 2012. She strongly believed that this prestigious institution has provided her with the necessary tools that will transform her into a better student, educator, and most of all, a better Christian. She will be graduating on August 2, 2014.
Tarica Monique Hall lives each day for Christ and she strongly believes in her dream of obtaining a Doctorate degree, and to one day own and operate a Christian school for students from preschool to the sixth grade. She is well aware of her God given talent and she is just a vessel to be used by God, to make a great deposit in the Earth, of building a better tomorrow for generations and generations of students to come.
